My Shadow

My shadow is looking at me like I broke her in half
When I turn my back it makes jokes of me and laughs
It is tired and wants to leave me behind
She wants me to take control over my own mind
My shadow looks at me with amazement
When I let her in to my head
She says if she stays in there too long
She is bound to be dead
I have to keep my eye on her
She tries to run away
She says I have to learn to love her
Then she will stay
